About Us
Hilltops Vegetation Services was founded in 2017 by Tony and Karen Pullen and has grown into one of the most experienced and well-equipped vegetation management contractors in the Hilltops and Riverina regions.
Based in Young, NSW, we proudly service a wide range of councils and government bodies — including Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, Hilltops Council, Bland Shire, Yass Valley, and Weddin Shire, as well as the ACT Government — delivering everything from roadside slashing to complex tree removal and Merlo telehandler operations.
Every job is carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, TfNSW requirements, and WHS legislation. Our team holds all required licences, and our comprehensive WHSMS ensures safety is never an afterthought.

What We Do
From urban tree pruning to large-scale roadside vegetation management, we have the equipment, expertise, and crew to get it done safely and efficiently.
Our flagship machine — the 26m Merlo telehandler with rotating grapple saw, EWP basket, and crane winch is capable of reaching what others can't. Ideal for large tree removal, complex canopy work, and precision lifting.
Crown maintenance, structural pruning, hazard tree removal, and stump grinding. Our arborists are Cert III qualified with extensive experience in both ground-based and elevated work.
Two excavators equipped with log grab, bucket, grapple saw, and slashing head. Suited for land clearing, mulching, brush cutting, and vegetation management at scale.
Zero-turn mowers from 54" to 96" for parks, roadsides, and open grounds. Skid steer with Himac mulching head for dense vegetation — capable of mulching material up to 4 inches in diameter. ATV boom sprayer for weed control.
Extensive experience with TfNSW-funded roadside programs. Traffic management accredited with full SWMS and WHS documentation for all roadside operations.
Rapid response storm damage clean-up with full heavy equipment available. We work safely and efficiently to clear fallen trees, debris, and hazards across all property types.
